Oklahoma customer license requirements for distributors

What a distributor of prescription drugs, medical devices, or medical supplies has to confirm about a Oklahoma customer before shipping, and what it has to keep on file.

By Workd, makers of WorkdID. Updated .

Short answer

Oklahoma lets distributors sell prescription drugs only to buyers who are licensed or authorized to receive them, which means checking the license first. Wholesale distributors must ship only to the address on the license. Possessing dangerous drugs without a valid license or prescription is unlawful. Pharmacies may not resell to wholesalers. Wholesalers must also follow the DSCSA and 21 C.F.R. Part 205. No Oklahoma rule spells out a step-by-step license check for drug customers. All Board registrants must keep records showing prescription drugs were received and distributed legally, including invoices and inventory records. WorkdID by Workd checks Oklahoma pharmacy and medical licenses, NPI records, and DEA registrations for every account, every day, and keeps a dated record of each check.
