What Arkansas requires before you ship
Before shipping a prescription drug to anyone in Arkansas, a wholesale distributor must make sure the buyer is on the approved list, such as a licensed physician, dentist, veterinarian, podiatrist, hospital, wholesaler, or pharmacy. It may not ship to a buyer after getting written notice from the Board or another agency that the buyer has lost its permit or license.
Who counts as an authorized buyer: Licensed physicians, dentists, veterinarians and podiatrists; hospitals licensed by the State Board of Health; licensed wholesale distributors; pharmacies licensed by the Board; and other entities authorized by law to buy or possess prescription drugs.
"ascertain that the person to whom shipment is made is either a licensed physician" 070.00.18 Ark. Code R. § 003, 08-00-0004(a)-(b)
Records to keep
Keep inventories and records of every receipt and distribution of prescription drugs. Records must be open for inspection and copying for two years after the drugs are disposed of. Off-site records that are not electronic must be produced within two working days. Records of outdated drug disposal are also kept two years.

- A prescription drug wholesale distributor's trading partners "may be only authorized trading partners," which for a pharmacy means one licensed under state law (21 U.S.C. 360eee-1(c)(3)).
How WorkdID handles Arkansas accounts
WorkdID by Workd checks every Arkansas customer you sell to against the state's pharmacy and medical boards, the NPI registry, and the DEA, every day. It flags an expiration or a board action within a day of posting, and in Workd order entry it can hold the order until your compliance team clears the account. Every check is saved with the date and the board record, so your Arkansas file is ready when someone asks for it.
